Anyone in columbus, ohio Know?
If major woody’s in the brewery district is reopening or are they closed for good?
Harland Hale shut the club down for two weeks. There will be a hearing to see whether or not it will reopen. He has been doing this around town with a few establishments in recent weeks. Some have been shut down for good.

What’s the proper process for brewing kit beer?
I have the Coopers Real Ale brewing away in the tub for 2 days now, but what time length and so on is it when it’s in the bottles?
Does every home brewed beer in a bottle have a sediment that you’re not meant to disturb?
I’ve read so much now I’m not really sure which is right
And when it’s time for me to use the Hydrometer is it ok to open the tub or if i open it too early will it screw it up?
Hehe, no it’s not my bathtub, too mahy spiders ![]()
I’m using a standard plastic fermenting ‘tub’
Plus, what’s classed as slow bubbles? After 12 hours it was making bubbles at about a few per 10 seconds another 12 hours later and they’re down to a few every minute or longer. (so far it’s only been in for 48 hours9
Okay, you leave it ferment in the tub (carboy, whatever) for about a week (use a hydrometer to check that gravity has fallen down to roundabouts 1.010). Try to leave it sealed up until you’re close to done with the fermentation — wait until the bubbles through your airlock either cease or get REALLY slow before doing your hydrometer check.
After you get your beer in the bottle, you’ll want to let the bottles sit at least 10 days before you pop one open to try it.
Not every bottle of homebrew has sediment…in fact, as your homebrewing skills advance, you may even explore ways to clarify your beer (like submicron filtration).
Don’t worry too much about how things go. Beer brewing is a natural process that people have been doing for centuries, and your grandaddy probably knew even less than you do when he brewed his bathtub beer to get around prohibition laws.
Everything will be fine. You’ll figure it out and you’ll feel a real sense of personal accomplishment when you taste your first bottles of homebrew!
Cheers!

fast brewing coffee makers

best 50 dollar coffee maker for me?
I am looking for a coffee maker that makes really good coffee. I’m tired of MR COFFEE and crappy 20 dollar makers that make watery funny tasting coffee. I want something pretty solid. I don’t care about easy use/programing or fast brewing. I just want a damn good cup of coffee when it’s all said and done. Any good recommendations? I’m willing to spend a bit more, but not looking to drop more than 70 bucks on this project
Cheers!
looking for 10 + cups and no special cups if possible
I use a coffee press. I hate coffee makers because I hate that burnt taste when the coffee sits there to keep warm. Coffee presses are great because your coffee will never have that stale/burnt taste and they’re so easy to clean.
If you like brewed coffee, Cuisinart, Krups and Braun make pretty good coffee makers. They all work like Mr. Coffee though. Bed Bath & Beyond have them starting at $30 to $60 and they have tons of those $10 off or 20% coupons that you can use.
If you’d like to check out the coffee press, here’s a link. I totally recommend it over any brewer. It’s just so simple! By the way, it comes in like 4 different sizes.
